We have a title agency as a client that has changed the way they do closing packets. They called last week and said they are going paperless (almost) and wanted to discuss their contacts. Because they we well above their minimums I thought they should still be good and hit them. As we talked they said there is a dip in the industry that will explain some of the reduction in printed pages. They averaged 120+ closings per month to less than 30 right now. A normal closing required a 300+ page packet but is now 27 pages. Lots of digital paperwork going back and forth.
They have 3 locations and 5 machines. Previously they were running 717,000 pages per year but are now on pace to run 32,000 on all 5 machines. I gave them a proposal for a minimum of 170,000 pages for the year and they accepted. They scan like crazy.
I did a quick check on our other title agencies and so for they are just slightly below normal.
