To post prices on website or to not post prices on website

I know it's more of a sales/marketing question, but I was curious what others thought anyway.

Should a copier dealership post their prices on their website or not?

    Absolutely not!

Doing so will make you little more than a commodities broker, where price is the only thing that potential customers look at.

This is a service driven business, and allowing would-be buyers to shop by price alone takes service right out of the equation.

Bullsh*t, post them up, lets undercut each other more than we already do.
Let the customer go for the cheap deal, they might then understand the reality of what they are paying for!!

We deal in certain paper processing equipment with stipulations from the manufacturer. On those items we can technically sell anything for any price we want but we can only post one price online or in any marketing materials. So no matter where you see the items for sale, the price is always 100% identical on the new stuff. It' nowhere near as competitive as copiers though.
