    Stand alone scanners?

I'm looking for a commercial grade scanner that will feed say 100+ documents at a time. My mortgage broker customers are doing more and more scanning of very large documents. Yes, I know copiers scan but I'm looking for something that will scan large document packages at one time. Thanks

Kodak, Fujitsu, Epson, these come to mind as scan-only solutions when you consider hardware. How you input the image is the tiniest part of the process. The question to ask (or the selling point to pursue) is- what software are they going to use for indexing/storage/retrieval? Do they already have indexing software? If yes, just go to CDW, or any distributor for a hardware sale.

Try using batch mode on a copier scanner: this allows you to feed multiple packets and output as a single file. Usually it's set under original mode, at least in the RFG world. I've never seen any scanner that would take a dictionary at one time.

Thanks rthonpm. I understand, but the customer wants to just put the stack in and walk away. There are scanners that will take 100 originals, but they're about $5000. Might as well buy a copier.

Thanks CanonSco. The Canons are what I've come around to. I'm just having a hard time now finding a wholesaler.

No Problem. I look after a lot of these machines that live in very harsh environments and they stand up really well.
