Independent Contractor Agreement

We are considering adding a salesman as an independent contractor for the first time. All others have been hired as employees. I wanted to ask the other independents on this site if they have had experience (good or bad) with this arrangement and possibly an existing agreement they would be willing to share.

Salesman as an independent contractor.

1. Gets paid on commission only, no base pay!
2. Accounts that are brought by salesman as an independent contractor, stay with the company.
3. Know who your hiring as a independent contractor salesman (background)
4. Limited information.

There's gonna be good and bad points when operating in this way.
