Old Drum,Imaging & Fusing Units Anyone reselling them

I was wondering what you all were doing with disposable type drum, development, and fusing units.

Seems a waste to file them in the circle file. Is anybody selling them to a re-manufacturer.

depends on which manufacturer you are working with.
There are companies like Katun and Fusion Image Technologies that will buy certain types of cores back
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Thanks for the reply, I'll look them up.
Would be Sharp, Konica Minolta & Ricoh.

Sometimes stuff just wears out, and reconditioning is a bigger waste of time and resources than replacing with new.

We tear the old fusers and drum units apart and recycle the aluminum, stainless steel and steel rollers. Take to scrap yard for beer money.

Spending same time, you might be able to reman drum unit and fusers to have one more life, save more for the beer.

Maybe, but maybe not. Like I said, stuff does wear out. Trying to fix the unfixable is a pointless waste of time and resources, after all, and people who try to do that and fail are fools.

Yes, i agree with you, so i suggested "REMAN", not "Fix" or "Repair", had about 7 years experience about remanufacturing, it's very rare to to see failure from production line, of cause people have to know how to do the job. Probably i have gone too far from the topic, sorry.
