Epson TM U220

So I'm about to travel 1 & 1/2 hours, to install an Epson TM U220, and I was just wondering if there's anything I should pay particular attention to.

That is to say, if there are any particularly fragile parts, or wierd bugs the machine is prone to throwing up, and if so how to avoid them?

What is it doing or not doing? The ribbon cable goes bad and sometimes does not print.
