Ideal 2502 Paper Shredder - Waste paper accumulates on exit

Good afternoon!

If anyone here has any experience with paper shredders - We've got one (Ideal 2502, made in Germany - like this one that, when shredding paper, much of the waste paper stays on the exit of the shredder instead of falling into the bag.

I can't see a logical reason for this, as I haven't got much experience with this kind of equipments. All the shredding "drums" seem to be rotating as needed.

Any tips are most welcome.

Make sure it's cleaned and oiled. Constantly oiled. Put oil on a piece of paper and run it through.

Don't run too much through. If the users constantly jam the machine the blades will become less and less effective.

I don't have any "shredder oil" handy, what kind of oil would be a good substitute? Sewing machine oil, maybe?

....probably a light mineral oil would do!...or perhaps WD-40 if you have some!....but nothing "heavy" that will "gum up the works"!
