Just checking to see if anyone has some suggestions on a good folding machine. The customer has a Formax FD-314 and this folder is real picky and customer is not real happy with it. What I see their problem is that they have some curl in the paper they fold and when they use this current folder the paper when tri folded the one end curls up and then the next folded paper jams into that fold and then the whole thing backs up plus I think they need something heaver duty. So I am looking for a folder that has a better exit system that can handle curled paper better. I was looking at the Duplo -970 but not sure if that could handle the paper any better. Any suggestions please let me know thanks.

Re: Folding machine
Serviced Duplo's for 18 years, they all have been tanks. I'd choose the DF-980 just because of the few extra bells and whistles. I don't like that on the DF-970 you have to tell the machine what size paper it is (they took out the paper length sensor - wtf). The cheap folders may do fine for the first year or two then become paper weights. The duplo will last 10 to 15+ years, they are worth it.Comment
