    Shredder Gear Removal

I have a Destroyit 2600 crosscut and am trying to remove the large drive gear for the shred head. It has a Torx T30 head on the bolt that is not very deep and it appears to be trying to strip. Is there a special tool for this job or is this a left hand thread?

I do a lot of shredders. last big one I had to remove a gear, the gear puller did not even move it a mm, with me beating on it with a mallet for an hour. I wound up taking it to a back woods machine shop and they pulled it and put the new one on for $20. Hell I was so happy I tipped the guy an extra $10. If you need to ask a human, call Whittaker brothers and tell them their sticker was on it, and they will talk to you.
