    Canon driver error

    Hi
I have tried to load UFR and pcl6 driver on to a win 7 64bit professional computer but it will not get past the registration of the printer and install fails at that point!
The copier Canon ir2520i is seen on the network and I tick it as the one to install.
migh not be related but the computer would not accept any of my sub sticks so I downloaded the driver.

2 others loaded but they were 32bit ok and printed and scanned to folder ok.

in the end I used add printer and selected the nearest model from the list but that only printed one test page, I tried to reload but the machine just beeps and the test page in the print log is NG.

any ideas as to why the driver would not load? They need at least plc6 driver for one of their programs.

    any help much appreciated.

    Re: Canon driver error

I am not familiar with Canon, but with Ricoh, there are separate X64 and I86 drivers. Make sure you are using the 64 bit driver. Also, do not let Windows select the port. Do a manual install by IP address. I have had trouble with Windows wanting to use the WSD (Web Services Device ) and the unit doesn't work.

      Hi Slimslob

tha ks for the reply, their I.T guy tried manual install and also tried add printer wizard pointing to the inf file still no go.
he shared the driver on the server for that PC and they are printing ok.
bit of an odd one! Seems that PC may have some issues lol!

As Slimslob said windows 64bit UfrII driver.

When you're looking for driver maybe you made a mistake with the model IR 2520 and IR C2520.
