Freeware software to auto upright pages in a document

    Hi,

Does anybody know any freeware software that can be used to auto rotate pages in a document into their upright position. For example a PDF that has both portrait (LEF) and landscape (SEF) pages and the requirement is to have them all in their upright position for easy viewing.

Ideally the freeware software would have scan driver linkage.

    Thank you,

hmmm.....maybe scan it right the *first* time so it is in the correct orientation to begin with???

I dunno!...unless you are dealing with scanning mixed sizes to begin with, say letter and ledger, the letter would be the correct orientation in the pdf but the ledger size would be in landscape orientation!

    General

This software auto detects the text orientation and adjusts the page orientation accordingly.

    Give it a lookover!

PS--as far as "scan driver linkage", that would probably be a scanner software that uses TWAIN driver plug-in!...and the scanner software would also automatically auto rotate and export as PDF! Perhaps Nuance has a version of Paperport that would work!

The user I'm dealing with is using an old scanner (using scan to e-mail) which doesn't automatically rotate and upright scanned pages. They scan a lot of portrait and landscape pages into the one document, so if you load them all LEF into the document feeder they will all be scanned in LEF and the landscape pages will have to be rotated manually.

      Thanks again.
