Ricoh mp 2851 scanning to cloud

    Hi everyone,

First time some ask to do scan to cloud. I have never done a cloud system. I am a independent copier company. They are a medical company and need to be hepa compliant. There IT person is setting up a server and ask me what needs to be done. I see there are 3rd party companies that either have just software or software that works with mfp copiers. Can you recommend which would work best Ricoh mp 2851.

    thanks for help in this.

To Be Honest, you need to communicate with the cloud folks and tell them what you have to work with!...and find out what the minimum requirements for HIPAA are!

The cloud thing IMO is a real PITA!...but if possible, I personally would make an SMB scan folder on each workstation, which would receive the time and date stamped scans, which can then be re-titled with the patients info and attached/uploaded to the cloud!

You can never ask too many questions in this situation!....the *only* dumb question is the one that's not asked!

This should be chargeable--it sounds like it is above and beyond the standard set-up/service contract!

    Good Luck!

PS--there is also the possibility of using barcode separator routing sheets!--they reduce the possibility of user error!--just ask how they can be implemented!
