Win 10 Scan to folder using FTP and firmware update using FTP

    Hello,

Initially wanted to upgrade firmware over FTP (ISW) but wasn't able to connect, so tried scan to PC and same result.
Has anyone had success with FTP scanning to windows machine using inbuilt ISS or even FTP utility (in my case Konica Minolta)... have installed so far the utility setup to anonymous and user with no joy. Tried setting up ISS FTP site, no joy.
Machine can't connect to network. Enabled on machine FTP-TX over port21. Tried exceptions in firewall, then even without firewall..no joy.. missing a bit from the puzzle and going a bit frustrated.

Looked up few video tutorials of setting up ftp site, scan to FTP folder on old bizhubs and there is something missing...anyone with a bit of a experience on win FTP setup? I have no problem on MAC, so it ain't the machine.

    Many Thanks.
.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

Try installing FileZilla on the computer. It is quick and simple to setup and there is good documentation on their website.

FileZilla - The free FTP solution for both client and server. Filezilla is open source software distributed free of charge.

      Thanks Slimslob.

Managed to get it to work direct from copier to pc with crossover cable and on static IP. scanning works, haven't tried firmware as yet.

step 2 will be opening router ports and try to update machine in workshop from my house.
