This church has complained often in the past that they often try to print and and copier shows offline. They try to print and nothing comes out, they turn off their laptop, go home, come back turn on their laptop, and a print comes out without doing anything. I could never get the problem to occur and I thought they were bonkers, network issues, etc. Today it actually occurred to someone while I was actually there. Here's the nugget of knowledge. One of the pastors was in a meeting room on the other side of the building, turning on his laptop, opened his email and hit print, closed his laptop and went back to his office stopping at the copier to retreive his email printout, it wasn't there and he came to me about it. We opened his laptop by the copier, boom, out came the print job WTF???
We close the laptop, go back to the meeting room, open it, hit print, the copier shows offline, close the laptop go back to the office and open it again and the print comes out again without doing anything. WTF???
Now for the solution to this golden riddle. The church has a public wifi and a private wifi. Over in the meeting room area the public is stronger, the laptop hooks up to it first. In the office area the private is stronger and the laptop hooks up to that first. They even named the networks the same ssid practically, LCC(1) and LCC(2). BTW the copier is only on the private network if you haven't guessed.
