    ricoh wide format slow printing

Customer has a Ricoh MPw3601 connected on the network. They are using PS driver (only one available) Windows 10 Pro.
They print mostly 36x48 line drawings (PDFs) the document takes quite a while to print, 30 seconds to a minute per page. These are not large docs. I have tried new driver, all different settings within the driver and on the machine.
Any suggestions as to what to look for next?

Check what port is being used. I have a customer with a CW2200 who was having the same slow speed. The printer had installed using the WSD port. Changed to TCP/IP and problem went away.

If the images they are trying to produce are complex, it will take a while. However, as I can't see what your machine is doing I'm not sure.

PDF files can sometimes get quite large when they print.

Try printing to a file. First something very simple, then a problem file.

I have used PDF flattening in the past to reduce the problem, but that will require the right software, such as Acrobat. (NOT Reader).

Check to make sure the network settings on your wide format are set to full duplex instead of half duplex!...I have seen slow printing from half duplex being set!
