    FTP Scanning from Sharp MFPs

I have an MX-3640 that is set up to FTP scan. The customer scans from their office to their software which is hosted on a server at our office.

It has been working for over a year & suddenly stopped. We have been unable to get it working & have been unable to get several other sharp MFPs (MX-311, MX-3070, etc.) at our office to FTP scan to the same server.

The interesting thing is that 2different MX-C300w machines (one existing connection & one we just set up today using the same credentials, etc.), scan successfully.

Any idea why the MX-C300Ws would work but no other sharp will?

My first thought would be firmware.

Thought of that, too, but we cant even get a brand new, out of the box MX-3070 to work.

Obviously something network related changed somewhere but, since we are the IT provider & their software is hosted on our servers, there is no buck passing.

Sharp advised we change Fax Switch (sim 66-1) 96 bit 4 to a value of 1 to change connection to passive mode. Tech just changed it & the scan succeeded.
