    Konica Print Drivers

Does anyone know why sometimes the "Auto Obtain" doesn't function when installing Konica drivers? I have the Port IP correct, model number correct. Doesn't make sense. All IP info looks good too.

I get this from time to time and it's always a pain when it doesn't work. Especially with account track and authentication settings enabled, or multiple finishing options.

    Re: Konica Print Drivers

The auto configure function of print drivers usually depends on SNMP. Many customers with an IT staff may be blocking the protocol on their network, or limiting it to certain hosts as a security precaution. It's also possible to disable in the printer port. The feature also will only work with a TCP/IP port so if a different type of port is used, like LPR, then there's nothing to receive the information.

I actually posted this originally in another area of the forum and we came to a resolve. It was due to SNMP so thank you.
