    Server 2008 showing printer offline

As I am not a Windows server or IT person I am looking into any suggested solutions for a Kyocera MFP not showing online.
It can be pinged ok and the Command Centre shows in the browser from the server, I tried to use the Kyocera driver on a workstation but IP address won't show.
I think it has something to do with SNMP settings but not being an expert I am not sure.

I do know the device prints as tested before bringing to the customer site. Brand new MFP TASkalfa 2552ci.

Any input or suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Regards

You could try disabling SNMP in printer properties, ports, configure port, uncheck the box called "SNMP Status Enabled"

Check to see if your IP / Port has a _1 after it. If it does, there's a duplicate and something else on your network has that IP as well.

          FYI
When I was at the customer location today upon arrival there were a couple of test sheets sitting on the machine from the IT person's server.
I also tested the machine directly with a laptop and network cable as well as USB printing.
Also while there the IT person sent another print job.
I have asked if any settings had been changed at their network/server location and if I get a reply I will pass along.

Thanks to all who viewed and the replies.

          Regards
          Ed

SNMP will more than likely fix the issue. I've had this problem with HP switches mostly but there is some gear out there which is based on or has the same hardware on the inside as the HP, they also have the issue.

*NOTE* This also only occurs in Windows Server 2008 and upwards.
