Installing Ricoh Print Drivers on Mac OSX computers

    Hi All,

Can someone please give me a light on how to install Ricoh Drivers on Mac OSX systems?

Most manufacturers i've dealt with have their print drivers laid out in a PPD format. However, i noticed the ricoh have theirs in hqx format.

From what i've seen, the Mac OSX operating system does not see this as valid and will not use this file. I also notice Ricoh have a Printer Utility for MAC. I tried running this but this didnt work for me.

So if anyone can give some instructions on how this is to be done, it would be great. thanks

    kind regards,
    steve

I don't work on Ricoh products, but hqx is compressed file format. You need to download Stuffit Expander to decompress the file.

        I agree

        Stuffit will unpack it.

Installing a Ricoh Mac installation package is a click click click procedure once you have the package unpacked (same as being zipped in the windows world).

        Port Settings:
        LPR
        Q name: print

        Mac =

Windows = awwwwwwwwwwwwww feels so right.

It makes you ask the question if it wasn't for I this and I that would Mac still be here?
