Try logging into Chrome (with your Google account) on a Windows PC.

Type "chrome://devices" in the URL. Setup a cloud printer that way, and it should be there and work when logging in to your Google account via a Chromebook.

Did you purchase the google print app from Ricoh {70 USD} and load it onto the MFP? If not you will need it to print through google cloud print. The instructions are quite confusing but I was able to get it working on a few chrome books.

            nah
i went there as the one saleguy tried to print to a mpc4503 i service and it kept printing garbage endlessly.
I showed them how to clear print cue and told the salesguy not to print wth his Chromebook till i get some answers.
I doubt he will want to spend $70 to print..
i told him about the thunb drive option.
I mucked wth his CB for 30 mins and like you said it was confusing.

                Been down this rabbit hole...

Your best bet is setting up a linux or windows server appliance running google cloud print...

GitHub - google/cloud-print-connector: Google Cloud Print Connector

From there if you have any fancy network gear (like cisco / switches or AP's) you have to go in and enable multicast traffic so that the chromebooks can see the cloud print server.

If all goes well, you will see the printers magically show up in chrome.

You can also try printing directly to the copier from the Chromebook. You won't have to add Google Cloud Print to the MFP to do this.

I made a quick PDF with instructions: Setting up a Chromebook for Direct Printing.pdf

If the exact model is not listed, you usually can get away with using a similar model's print driver.

Look up "Google cloud print classic". Basically a windows PC is setup as a "Print Server". The printer is set up shared through a Gmail account to Chromebook users. As long as the PC is on they should be able to print.

                      Great little help sheet.. thanks
Is it possible to have user authentication enabled and to print from chrome book??

I recently setup a machine to default use an account with black and white but not colour until a code was entered in the driver or on the copier itself.

But when sending from a Chromebook, nothing comes out unless authentication is disabled. Is there a way around this so that Chromebooks can print and preferably just in black and white?? The copier is a Sharp mx4140
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
