Google cloud print (reposting due to last thread not working)

So found out Google cloud print will no longer be a option in 2020

Konica Mobile Print isnt supported on Chrome Books

Anyone know an alternative for Chrome Book users?

I have plenty of users that use account track/user auth and the only way I got them printing was with Google Cloud Print classic and setting up cues with each users account codes on a windows PC then sharing that via cloud print.

Now with that option son to be unavailable i dont know what to offer instead

they say driver support has improved enough that users should just install printer with the PPD driver files but in my experiance I havent been able to get that to work

Konica dont have a specific OS choice for Chrome so I tried the Linux PPD but apparently the file size exceeds what Chrome will allow

PaperCut Mobility Print is a free add on option only for businesses that already have Papercut MF or NG installed. From experience, fresh Papercut installs rarely cost less than $5k and often exceed $10k plus a 20% annual maintenance fee.

No. Mobility print was and still is "free" add on for PaperCut MF or NG when you buy a licence.
But now it became as a standalone free product.
If you just want to print from Chromebook - it's free. If you want to be able to track and control printing that's a different story.
