MAC printing House Plans, Slow Spooling

Hello folks. While I fear that this is an issue that is beyond my scope; or i'm just forgetting something simple: here we go.
I have a client that can print most things fine to a MP C3503, however when printing a PDF from Chrome and Safari was tried as well as I recall. The MAC will state its spooling in the queue and the printer will print every so often. Which should mean that the printer is printing the pages as soon as the Data is fully transmitted for that page. I was wondering if there was a way to speed this up, for instance I know a Windows machine can be set to LPR printing vs RAW.

Note: PS3 is installed on this machine; MP C3503.

    System info:
If I recall correctly the client is using the 10.15 OSX, the one after Mojave
There are other MACs in use and I know that overall there are some OSX version variations in use. IE High Sierra

What has been tried thus far:
Install via IP Address using LPD and the Model specific driver is auto-selected; also tried downloading the PPD from Ricoh.
Have attempted to download and print 'House Plans' PDF
Their IT believed it could be the 'rendering'/layering of the PDF and tried re-rendering it on his end. As I have gotten a service call about the continued issue, I assumed that failed.
    Bonjure printing was attempted
    increased I/O buffer
Changed PDF setting to 600 DPI (Fast)

    Thoughts:
I've been doing research to see if I could refine the LPD setting.
As the client is using Laptops, I can't reliably print share via a Windows laptop.
I have not used Airprint as in my experience it is notorious for slow and lacking print options

Thanks for reading and donating expertise.

That's the shitty thing about Ricoh/Savin....the postscript function seems to be an "afterthought" option. It seems you really have to "dumb down/flatten" the PDF file for Ricoh machines...never really seen that problem with Konica-Minolta or Hewlett Packard!!! My workaround (in the past) has been to take the file that was created on the mac, transfer it to a windows pc & re-constitute/flatten it with either Bullzip or CutePDF which then worked. From my experience, Mac & Ricoh don't play together too nicely when it comes to PDF files. Best thing is to figure out one workflow for PDF compilation (and what the desired output is) and another for printing. Good Luck!!!....as I know that is a booger of a combination!!![emoji41][emoji1303]

I set up all my MAC customers the same way without any issues. Use the PPD that you downloaded from Ricoh. If you are using one of Ricoh's other machine versions i.e. Savin..make sure you download the PPD from the Savin site.
IP set up using the HP protocol is the fastest for printing.
To set defaults open up CUPS by putting this IP in Safari, 127.0.0.1:631...you will need the computers password and log-in info after you have run the Terminal command that it will prompt you to use.

Just like a PC's Google Chrome has its own drivers for default printing. You can set up the default for Chrome to use your CUPS print settings instead of the Chrome driver by running this command line in Terminal

COPY\PASTE from the web.. The only error that I can tell from this is line 4 that states to click out of terminal. Believe after typing in "defaults write com.google.Chrome DisablePrintPreview -bool true" you will want to hit the enter key and then type in "logout" After logging you will prompted you to save.

To disable the Google Chrome print preview, follow the steps below:

        1. Make sure to quit out of Google Chrome. To do this, right click on the Google Chrome icon, and click Quit.
        2. Launch Terminal on your Mac. This can be found by going to Applications -> Utilities.
        3. Type in defaults write com.google.Chrome DisablePrintPreview -bool true
        4. Click out of Terminal and open Google Chrome.
        5. Click Command+P or go to File -> Print.
        6. Check the default printer option from OS X now in use with the Google Chrome browser app.

If speed is what you're looking for use the HP jetdirect protocol. I had an account that had a dozen Macs and one nice lady did a speed test for me. They all were printing large color docs all day and jobs took anywhere from a few to twenty minutes or more. She tried this from 2 different Macs and printing times were best with the HP jetdirect.
