Kyocera Taskafla to Mac Scan to SMB problem

Has anyone had a problem setting up Scan to SMB on the latest Taskalfas (TA 2553ci, etc) to a Mac?
If you use the IP Address of the Mac it works, but if you use the Hostname it doesn't.
If you disable IPv6 on the Mac the Hostname will work.
Both the Taskalfa firmware and Mac OS are up to date.
Anyone have any idea why this is?

Just disable IPV6...it's NOT NEEDED on a LAN!!![emoji41][emoji1303]

With IP V6 enabled, this enables other security options even on IPV4. As mentioned above disable it. I have yet to come across anyone actually using IPV6.

In the past I was even teached to disable IPv6 when not used.

Are You Using IPv6 Yet? Should You Even Care?

Good read but I did note it was from SEPTEMBER 22, 2016. Technology can change a lot in 3.5 years

I realise that IPv6 is not widely used even on the internet yet and isn't much help on a LAN. I am curious though why IPv6 needs to be disabled when this isn't the case for the Taskalfa 1 or 2 series (ie Taskalfa 3051ci or 2552ci) These both work fine using scan to folder using SMB to a Mac with the hostname and IPv6 enabled.
The copier (Taskalfa 2553ci) isn't set up to use IPv6 and yet disabling the Mac from using it affects the scanning?? Was wondering if anyone knew why?
