    Non-Standard QR code shapes

Has anyone figured out how to scan these things... I have gone through a bunch of qr code readers on my android phone with no luck... the shape of the qr code is rectangular... I found some flat cables with these on them... not for copiers but I figure it was worth shot... my solution was to google the part name on the part and that usually brought up what I needed... part numbers were generally a bust...

    Re: Non-Standard QR code shapes

I was curious so I googled rectangular qr code examples and tried my paid for QR scanner on my Android phone on these below.

    Google Image Result

It works on the data matrix but not the IQR, FWIW.

Interesting read: iQR Code | QRcode.com | DENSO WAVE

    Can you post an example?

Many QR codes are intended to be read by a specific APP. As an example, before thus crazy year once or twice some grocery chains and many national fast food chains would have various games with various bonus prizes. The game pieces would have a QR code on them that when read with the game APP woud tell you what if anything you won.
