Hi All,
We have a customer who is scanning to a "DFS" share, where i think the domain controller splits it across servers.
The path: "\\domain-name\folder-share" instead of the usual SMB share "\\server-name\folder-share"
They have small Ricoh MC251's which work fine - i think these are rebadged other brand maybe. Their scanning process is connect first, then scan page through.
But the Ricoh IM C300F only works sometimes! - i think its a DNS issue, where the copier gets to the domain controller and sometimes it works ok. The scanning process for this model is they pull the pages through into memory first, and then try and connect.
I have asked the customer IT to 'temporarily' change the path to an IP of one of the servers for testing, but they refuse to do it "as the other models work fine".
Any thoughts on how to test from the copier? Im told they do support DFS sharing.
thanks in advance
