    Softpro software setup

    Good morning

Going to a call where a client has merged with another company. The new company uses Softpro real-estate software with their Ricohs and have no problems. Going to see about setting it up on a Sharp MX-6070. Could not find anything with a search here and the website does not have anything to offer that I could find. This is the software:

Real Estate Closing Software - SoftPro (softprocorp.com)

Client is quite a distance from me (about 3 hours) so would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

So more information. They actually use a 3rd party app to monitor a network folder. All scans are to the network address with a user name but no password. Unfortunately I haven't been able to configure Sharp scans to a network folder without a password. Has anyone been able to do this?

    Thank you.

Does the third party app run a service as a user account? That may be how it can send to the share without specifying credentials.

Check the permissions on the share folder in general, you may be able to use another account to grant access to it.

        Good morning!

It sounds like you're dealing with a potentially tricky setup integrating SoftPro Real Estate Closing Software with a Sharp MX-6070. Since the other company is using Ricoh devices without issues, I recommend focusing on the print driver compatibility and ensuring the Sharp MX-6070 supports the necessary formats for SoftPro.

From my experience, real estate software often requires specific print settings and formats, so check the Sharp's PCL/PS drivers to ensure they are correctly configured for SoftPro. If the client is using custom forms or specific page sizes, you may also want to verify that the printer’s settings match these requirements. Unfortunately, it seems like neither SoftPro’s website nor Sharp’s resources provide a direct solution, but checking with SoftPro’s support team on integration with other hardware can be helpful.

If you're interested in software development or custom solutions for integrations like this, companies like RedDuck offer software development services, including custom integrations for business software and real estate systems. It might be worth exploring tailored solutions for smoother compatibility in the future.

        Good luck with your call!

Looking at the Softpro webpage I have a feeling that the integrated scanning and document storage might be using either TWAIN or WIA pull scanning. No password is needed, only the proper driver. Download the TWAIN driver for the Sharp MX-6070 from Sharp and install on every computer that needs to scan from one of the Sharps. I have already checked Sharp's download page and it is available. One other thing, if they have niot contacted Softpro, they might need to. Often industry specific software is licensed for a set number of simultaneous users. They mat need to purchase additional licensing.

Huh ? Just tried on our MX-5070V without problems, just enter the folder path and a User, don't touch at the password, that's it.

Thank you for all of the responses. Didn't even think to use the twain driver . Unfortunately they have moved this machine out of the office and replaced it with another Ricoh..... so no chance to experiment and figure this out
