Hi Geo and welcome back. We use AnyDesk worked great for us till now.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

We use Connectwise control, I've also found that a lot of people already have team viewer already installed. The other one is Windows has a remote assistances tool built in all you have to do is ask your customer to press the start button and type in remote support

Quick Assist --Windows 10 built-in app. Its free and no downloads for the end user,so less confusion, just give them a code and away you go.

just remembered while using it with an Ad-hoc customer the built in Windows 10/11 keyboard short cut to open the remote assistance tool is Win + Ctrl + Q.

If you're looking for something to use with customers, try to use something web-based as opposed to a permanently installed application. This helps to prevent the use of something like TeamViewer or VNC being abused through an out of date version.

There are plenty of good options available now.

Quick assist or anydesk fo me
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
