Re: HDD 100% Usage
There is a freeware HDDScan that is great, use it all the time on copier hdd's. You can read smart data with it, has several read/write algorithms to detect bad sectors. Has stress tests and data distruction algorithms. Word of caution though, there is no safety for it on your computer's hdd. If you accidently select your computers hdd during a wipe session, it will wipe it leaving you with a dead computer (ask me how I know). It will check your computer hdd as well as any other hdd attached. For some reason it always works on my toaster caddy, but not always on my sata to usb3 adapter. Works all the time on my former sata to usb2 adapter though.
BEST OF ALL IT'S FREE, no strings attached.
