Hi, All,
We just installed 40 new Ricoh MFPs (MP161s, MP3350s, MPC3300s, and MPC4000s) in a large network utilizing 2 Clustered Windows 2000 Terminal Servers.
It seems that none of the drivers are retaining either the installed accessories (they need to be manually added in a Clustered environment), nor are they retaining the preferences under Printing Defaults.
Even the lowly MP161s won't hold the default duplex setting.
I didn't see anything on the TSC site that would be of use.
The Windows 2000 Servers are scheduled to be updated with newer 2008 Servers, but that won't be for a while yet, maybe even a year.
I'm considering using the Driver Customization Tool to create a custom driver, but the customer's IT is resisting that option (at least for now).
Another possibility may be the Mini Driver (not the actress
), but I'm afraid of losing too much functionality, namely pulling from multiple trays in the same job, as this isn't an option with this driver (per the Ricoh TSC site).
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
