I've got a few customers with Fiery X3e+ and 64 bit Windows XP and Vista machines and I can't get any of them to print. Every job just hangs in the que before it gives a timeout error. Has anyone got these drivers to work?

64 bit drivers on Fiery X3e+

Seeing as the Fiery X3e+ is the type of Fiery, I will presume that you have a Konica 8020 or 8031 as that is simply what Konica called the controller.
Do you have version 2 of the system software installed?
Do you have all the latest patches installed?
Are you using LPR or RAW?
How is your controller configured?
Are you printing via a server or directly to the machine?
If you think that it might just be the drivers, try using the Aussie drivers at www.konicaminolta.com.au .Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends. -
I've got the latest and greatest system software installed and I believe all the patches (I'll have to double check). I have tried both LPR and RAW with the same result, the controler is configured for TCP/IP services exclusively with Windows Printing on one. And yes I am using the Konica 8031 for two of them and a Dialta CF2002 for one of them printing directly to the machine on two and through a server on one (the one one on the server won't print directly from the server. I'm going to try the drivers you sent me the link to and I'll post back with the result. Thanks a million for that link. My boss told me I should try the Canadian drivers but I haven't had the time to track them down just yet.Comment

Just a thought, to try to isolate the driver issue:
Put a small pdf file on the root of your C: drive, say test.pdf.
From a command prompt, type: lpr -S <ipaddress of printer> -P print c:\test.pdf -o 1
The "S" and "P" are case sensitive, "print" selects the Fiery queue, -o (letter "o") is an option switch, and "1" sets the output mode to binary.
So, your command may look like this: "lpr -S 192.168.1.2 -P print c:\test.pdf -o 1"
Or, of course, you could just use Command Workstation to send a file, and skip all this DOS mumbo jumbo...
At least this way you'll know that you have a good connection to the RIP.

Printer
Printer is connected but will not accept jobs from 64bit platform. Tried the US, Australian & Canadian drivers. Tried LPR, RAW and emulated LPR with the same results. I don't know why this is happening. Has anyone had any success with this?Comment

Update
I've got a few of these 64 bit machines to work OK but what I did notice is the ones that do work are Intel chips and the ones that don't are AMD. Any more ideas about this?Comment
