    Kerio mailserver authentication problem

I have two customers using Kerio mail server. Both customers have Konica Minolta copiers and they want to use scan to email. One customer has a C353 and the other is C351. Both machines will not authenticate with the Kerio mail server, I have tried other machines with no luck as well. I figure the SMTP authentication level is set too high for the machine. Has anyone had any experience with Kerio Mailserver?

I have had eperiences with Kerio and it is horrible.

Just a couple of things that you should check.

    1. Are your customers actually using Kerio to send emails, or are they sending through their ISP?
    2. Are you using registered mailboxes / email addresses?
    3. Have you asked the clients IT to whitelist the copiers?
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

      1. Yes, they are sending through Kerio. I verified all the settings with my thunderbird email client, which authenticates without an issue.
      2. I'm not sure what you mean. They have a registered domain name and the email server is offsite, so I think they would have to be registered.
      3. I can ask, but my laptop with the same settings can authenticate, but maybe being a lower level of authentication, it might require the copiers to be whitelisted.. good idea!

The Whitelisting is what eventually did it. Thanks, TheOwl for the suggestion.

Not a problem at all. Glad you posted the fix here for everyone else.
