Scan to FTP outside Lan W/ KM-C350?

I have been trying to set up to scan to a remote ftp site and keep getting "server connection errors" any suggestions or methods to find the problem would be appreciated.

    1. Make sure the KM-C350 has access to the FTP server via a correct user name and password set into the scanning address. If there isn't any login credentials for the FTP, try typing in anonymous for the user name and password. It would be silly to have anonymous FTP access if the FTP server is accessible via the internet.

    2. The KM-C50 might have issues trying to reach the FTP server on the internet or WAN, make sure you have a correct gateway address in the KM-C350's network settings and correct FTP port number set in the scanning address. Though there could be a limitation on the KM-C350 where it can only send to an FTP server on the local network.

Remember, there are two types of ftp connections; ftp (unsecure, which allows anyone to connect to it) and ftps (which requires a user name and password and will not except anonymous log ins)

So the questions you have to ask is which connection do you have and what does your MFP support?

Ok here's a little food for thought.

        1. Can you reach the FTP location via a PC?

        2. Does the FTP location have a static IP address? If so, try using the IP address instead of the DNS name.

        3. Have you got the correct gateway and DNS details inputted into the machine?

        4. What does the job history say when a FTP scan fails?
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

I can reach ftp by pc
          I am using static ip
I don't know for sure about the correct gateway, dns but. i had looked at it but will verify.
I will look at history, to see if it tells me more than"server connection error"
