With the Laptop turned off, do the three XP machines function properly? Is the problem with the Laptop causing a conflict? Are you using DHCP or static addresses?

which driver are you using. The Xp driver, on the Vista machine, may work but lock up the print spooler...
What is the ip of the copier, the xp computers, and the laptop? Are they on the same subnet? Can the laptop see the XP machines. Are they on the same workgroup? What wireless router are they using. I had one that the wireless network was not allowed access to the wired side of the router (firmware on the router and setup changes made this work).
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Yes, the 3 unit desktop working pefectly without laptop print direct to the copier and they are using static ip address.

          Thanks for both your reply.
I am using the vista laptop driver,ip and subnet are the same range and after the printer off line ,i still can ping to the copier.
I will try to check the router setup.
Where can i download the vista driver for gp225 ?

I just checked the public side of canon and I do not see any driver updates since 2003 so I doubt there is one.
You can try an hp pcl vista driver but it may not work.

Mr. Spock is right...there are no Vista drivers for this model; it's just too old.

If it's available for Vista (I think it is) try an HP LaserJet 5Si PCL5 driver.

You should be able to access all the paper trays (2 or 4), the bypass, and duplex, at least from what I remember.
