    Ask: How To attach NIC in IR6000

    Dear Master,
    I just purchase a 2nd hand IR 6000, I want to connect the machine to PC as printer, but there no a NIC present.
    Can I attach a NIC there?
    Where I can buy a NIC for IR 6000
    If I attach a NIC, I must Flash the machine or not?

      You will need to buy a Network Multi-PDL Printerkit A1 and flash the firmware after installing it.

      As far as I know you can't just plug any nic in there, it has to be the one Canon makes.

      Look on ebay or check with your local Canon dealer.

          Even if you could get a NIC (which you can't - it's proprietary), you still need the rest of the kit to enable printing at all.
