    Canon PSA

Ok, so I recieved a Canon Print Server Appliance with a bunch of returns. Did some research on it, and it doesn't appear to be a great seller. Any thoughts on this piece of equipment? Trying to figure out if it'll help or hurt trying to sell a machine with it. Or just try to sell it on its own? Thanks for any input...

Run the other way from this thing!

I only had one out there, and we never did get it to run right. The customer ultimately returned it.

I suppose if you had ALL Canon devices it may be OK, but I think even that would be suspect.

The funny thing is the the HP version of the same box works great. I have a few customers using them with no issues.

The only difference (at least last I knew) between the two is that the HP ran Linux, and the Canon ran Windows 2000.

Wow, thanks for the input. No wonder It was so hard for me to find info on it! Back in the box it goes, I have a nice shelf for it...

Those are nice little boxes to hang on a network with a lot of printers. I wish more IT people used them.

I didn't know Canon made one, but it sounds like they don't work too good.

Almost looks like what Ricoh (Print Cabinet) had out a few years back. our dealership bought one, and been sitting on the shelf (still in the box) since.

I had a customer about 3 years ago where a Print Cabinet would have been a perfect fit.

I was told (by Ricoh) that it had been discontinued some time back as they never really sold.
