Customer has just had new network PCs all using windows 7 and the IT guy can't get the machine to print, he can ping it but it just won't print. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure he is using the proper driver, that is to say 64 bit vs 32 bit. How many workstations? Is the printer loaded on a server and then shared? or, installed locally on each PC? have him try installing one locally on one of the PC's. Have you hooked up your laptop directly and tested the machine? -

Windows 7, when creating printer ports for new drivers, likes to use LPR instead of RAW in certain circumstances...
Check the print port settings and change to RAW 9100, which is more often than not, standard fair for print ports."Many years ago I chased a woman for almost two years, only to discover that her tastes were exactly like mine: we both were crazy about girls."
