    Colorwise pro tools

I run command workstation on my laptop and use Colorwise to callibrate Fiery products using a densenomiter.

all worked well untill last week. (no changes to the laptop) openening Colorwise gives me a window button Java/C++ -3 followed by asecond button Java/C++ -0 then nothing happens no program loads.
command workstation works fine, i have deinstalled both programs and done a fresh install the same results apply.

i need to callibrate a customers machine and have to borrow a laptop from an other engineer.

your help or advise would be appreciated.

Uninstall CWS and uninstall Java. Both will be in add remove programs. When you install CWS again it will reinstall Java. That may work.

I thought I saw a new release of Java last week. If you have the latest, that might have broke your CWS.

Just had the same problem..... Java C++ errors when starting Colorwise Pro Tools.
Did not reinstall CWS, just downgraded Java software back to Version 5 from Version 6..... fixed the problem straightaway.
Dont bother uninstalling CWS, its a Java issue.

            Hi again,
just adding some info to this last reply.

I didnt actually remove Java 6. I am now running both version 5 & 6 very successfully on my laptop.
To prove it was a Java issue to myself, I fully removed version 5, then just as before, Colorwise Pro Tools fails to start.
Again installed version 5 and all works well.

Laptop is XP Pro, IE6, latest versions possible of CWS & Pro Tools.
