Not sure if this is the right forum. Recently set up 2 copiers in the same network but different locations. MX4101 and an MXM260. IT setup the mac address on their DHCP server and the machines find the IP addresses just fine. However, the 4101 found the DNS server and updated the information just fine but the 260 did not. IT wants it to be found automatically but I'm having a problem getting the machine to update the information. Some suggestions on why one machine would do it and one would not. Both are setup with print, scan and fax modules enabled, I set the domain name of the copier to match, everything else was set to default. Also enable the WINS service and this did not update either. I'm missing something but not sure what.
