Scan to a folder using guest account ?

I've come across this a few times now but basically its this situation...

    - One user on a laptop / pc without a password so computer just loads straight to desktop

So for scan to a folder what do you put in as user id and pass at the copier so it allows the scan through. I don't think I've ever had it work with blank passwords.

Hope that's clear enough its just be useful to have a simple solution instead of having to create users.

    Thanks for any info,

That video has a very neat trick remove the member of user group so I guess it doesn't show up as a user account when they turn on there pc.

Cool cheers guys I'll try admin aswell next time.

Would this situation work ? I'll be honest I am just guessing here but...

So a user is logged into the domain. Now could the photocopier in theory bypass the domain and access the share on the users computer using a local login ?

Or if the user is logged into the domain is all local policy null and void since domain policy takes over ?

        Cheers,
