    Ricoh 1515 Twain windows 7

XP twain scanning works fine several workstations have been upgraded to windows 7
They can see the Type 1515 twain but cant communicate with the scanner. IT assures me all the fire walls have been turned off.

Is this a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows 7?

The driver only works on a 32 bit machine - there is no 64 bit version.

Talk them into scan to e-mail insted of twain.
Twain makes them walk back and forth from PC to copier.
E-mail is push 3 buttons and you wait for the e-mail.
Theaten IT's to install scanrouter lite on their servers.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

If you must use TWAIN, be sure that TCP port 1022 is open.

Even if the firewall is turned off, you may still need to make an exception for it. (Don't ask why...)

Scan Router and Scan Router Lite use port 3670.

              TWAIN uses port 1022.

make sure also that the network settings are set to a trusted network like a work network in the network and sharing centre of Windows 7. Scan to email really would be the better route though.

log into the web image monitor and make sure RSH/RCP is active. You'll find it under Configuration>Security>Network Security
