We recently changed email and web hosting since AT&T is pretty expensive. We get emails perfectly fine through our Outlook. But our Canon IR 3035 is having issues sending emails out. The only settings on the machine are an xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for SMTP, and an email address under email address (setting located on email setting under network settings under additional functions). I have absolutely no training on copiers or email functions. I don't even know what the IP for SMTP is there for since the machine doesn't receive emails.
Our new web host and email host sent us new POP settings, but there was never any POP settings on the Canon IR. The settings include our IP which is our website link xxxxxx.com and a port. I tried going through the computer interface and changed the SMTP IP to xxxxxxx.com
ort but didn't work. I just pinged the xxxxx.com to get the IP, but I am afraid it may be the same IP as our internal server and crash it like we did a year ago. I have no idea if a DNS change also changes the IP of our email and web host. Sorry for the nonsensical information laid out. Thanks for any information and help in advance.
