    Windows 7 SMB SHARE Problem

    Dear ALL,
    AM Facing problems with Windows 7 smb share on ricoh machines,i put the firewall off then also its not working,is there any setting in windows 7 to be done,please give me solution if anyone have... Thanks in Advance

    Make sure you have up to date firmware for the machine: most models need firmware upgrades to work with the newer SMB format used in Windows 7.

      if all else fails, get "filezilla server" (freeware) and set up FTP scanning, works like a charm

        You must add the guest account when you share the smb folder, change the permission level to Read/Write. Then ho to Advance Sharing and checklist the Full control option.

          check for inbound policy on Win 7, there's 3 of them. If it fails, go FTP as mentioned or email. I installed win 7 on my comp just to study the OS, man I'm getting nowhere. I missed XP/Vista
          Idling colour developers are not healthy developers.

            What version Win 7 ? I had similar problems with win 7 home I was told by a propelerhead it wont work so I used FTP

              Am using Win 7 Ultimate,i tried with inboud rules also but still same not working, i dont know what & where is wrong,lets figure it out soon.
