Two MFPs: One can send emails, the other can't

Okay guys, here's a strange one I've got:

Customer has two MFPs on his network: A bizhub C352 and a C452. Both are configured to scan to email.

The email server (an exchange server with SMTP enabled) is set in the simplest way possible: no authentication and no encryption are enabled, so the MFP just connects and sends the email.

But sometimes the C452 will stop sending emails (the detail on the failed emails state "Login error") while the C352 still works fine.

I've double checked the configuration between the two machines and the SMTP configuration is exactly the same on both of them.

Any hints?

I can't say right now, but I'm starting to think that I might've fixed it - Backed up the machine data, initialized the system in tech rep mode and replaced the backups. It's been scaning fine so far. Now I just need to tackle this other problem.

How many concurrent connections can the mail server hold, are there plenty more than the users or just a couple, keep in mind if some people are like me, they might have more than one computer checking for mail (dont ask long story) it is possible it might be using all licenses at some point when the MFP is trying to connect.

Just a thought.
