If you are looking used make sure that device is going to be supported on the newer platforms of the MAC operating system which is going to be released soon. This is a huge sticking point especially if that device is going to have a fiery ImagePass or RIP attached to it. Personally I like the feel and capabilities of the Canon devices with the Fiery attached as they give great output and IMO the PPD is easier to navigate than that of the straight Canon PS driver.

Had to put in my two cents as well. We have several MAC only accounts and are a Konica-Minolta dealer. The C220 has a full functioned PPD for OS x 10.6 with all of the finishing functions available. We have an account with a saddle-stitching finisher. There is no network fax driver available. The C203, C253, C353 also have full functioning drivers available. You can also load ICC color profiles onto the MFP which will then be accessible to the Mac workstation through the driver. I can't speak for the C550 as I have none placed in a MAC environment. I would assume that MAC support on them would not differ much from the aforementioned models.Comment

C220 is a great low volume color box. A C550 with 135K is just a baby. If has the Fiery ensure you are instructed on how to run both the MFP and Fiery calibrations...I have many of the C550/C652 series with Fierys, and I'm always going back for CQ issues. Customers forget, or don't know how to calibrate. PS we have a few C550s with 1.5 mil + on them. I have had no issues with any of the newer MAC OSs and printing. Setting up SMB scanning on the MAC is a breeze also. EmujoIf you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.Comment
