Trying to ping Canon LC 730i fax?

I have a computer running Windows XP.
Have a 5 port SOHO hub.
Computer Ethernet cable connected to hub & Cable modem is connected through the hub. Also have the Canon LC 730I fax machine Ethernet cable connected to the hub.
I have printed out the fax machines network settings.

    IP Address Auto
    DHCP On
    Bootp Off
    Rarp Off
    IP Address 192.168.000.215
    Subnet Mask 255.25.255.224
    Default Gateway 174.079.255.065
    DNS Server Add. 000.0000.000.000
    DNS Dynamic Set Off

I have tried pinging the above IP address and I get "Request timed out"

I have pinged other IP address and they have worked fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank Scott

your Subnet Setting looks a little odd to me.... there is a "5" missing in the second Triple, i think

The gateway is unreachable from the IP address; that's a no-no.

Can you tell me how I would go about correcting this problem so it will work?
          I appreciate your help.

Are you sure that's your gateway address and not DNS?

With an IP address of 192.168.0.x and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.224, your gateway could only be 192.168.0.192 through 192.168.0.222.

Thank you for you time and help. I just reset the fax and settings. In turn that changed the
              ip address to 174.79.255.88.
Now I am able to connect to the fax throught Internet Explorer.
              Thanks again.
