    CLOUD PRINTING

I was just checking out Cloud printing today and wondered....

Does anyone here know of a print server software that allows one to accept a print job directly from an email account?

Google Cloud Printing Looks interesting but I am looking for alternate solutions...

    Re: CLOUD PRINTING

IPP printing may be a possible solution, if your printer has the capability (most do).

The other requirement is that the customer has to publish a web page which would "host" the printer.

A few years ago I set up an off-campus print shop with a Canon CLC1150 and a Fiery.

      Re: CLOUD PRINTING

Would it be possible to port forward with dynamic dns?

      printer: 192.168.1.99
router config: forward 5997 to 192.168.1.99, or in case IPP(correct me if I'm wrong), use 631?
      Public IP: say...50.67.88.199

when installing print driver in the cloud somewhere, could you use 50.67.88.199:5997(631)?

Will it work? I dont have a IP printer at home (and not allowed to touch office router).

        Re: CLOUD PRINTING

All new Canon and Savin/Ricoh printers support google docs and various other cloud services directly from the main screen including printing from cloud and scanning to the cloud.

I setup IPP printing for a customer that prints from home to a Kyocera MFP in his office.
Simply enable IPP printing on the device and open port 631.
