Next question, what the hell's a 2501? Do you mean an MP2510?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

        Re: Ricoh Mp2501 Scan Setup?

Hey KyoceraChris, I do have a question, which type of scanning are u looking to setup? scan to folder or scan to email? If you are setting up scan to email, you have to configure the device under "user Tools", "System Settings", "File Transfer", here you can configure the SMTP Server and port settings, administrators email address and authentication information if needed. then you can setup destination email addresses in the address book for quick reference when scanning. Keep in mind that you also have to know how they wish to scan (either scanning back to their own email address, or to outgoing email addresses outside of their exchange). This is all information that you will need to gather from your customer in order to setup for their environment.
If they are scanning to a network share, you can configure directly through the address book settings with a user that has write permissions to the network share that your trying to scan to. If you can provide this information, post back and we can help further. Hope this helps.
