Hi- I have a client who is currently using MAC's new LION OS. They have 10.6 Software also in place which works fine. The problem is that when they go into the settings of the printer to set the account track and turn it on/enter the credentials in. It doesn't let them click the ID&PRINT check box. Thus not allowing them to use account track with the their Konica Minolta C253. Does anyone know if this is a MAC lion issue or a driver issue or if there is no current fix for this. Re: Konica Minolta Account Track 10.7 (new lion software) not allowing.
This is a current issue with the Konica Minolta PPD's for Mac as they haven't released a driver for 10.7 as yet.
If you customer isn't concerned about keeping track of printing then use the following:
Utility - Administrator Settings - User Authentication / Account Track - Print Without Authentication - Allow
This will let print jobs go through with out the requirement of authentication from the driver, but still require users to login into the machine for copying / scanning / faxing.
The problem should be reolved once drivers have been written for 10.7Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.Comment
