Canon IR5020/6020i not always selecting 14" paper

I posted the long version under the Canon page. In a nut shell both units do not always select the 14".
I have a print out of the settings under additional features and options. If someone has a clue as to
what settings should be selected I would be greatful.
I have made a request for the network manual so that I may hope to find or figure out what needs to be changed.

    Thanks

Hey Desert Rat, I'm assuming that you are talking about when your customer is trying to print from their PC's the machine does not always print to the lgl size. If this is the case what application are they printing from? If Microsoft word, the issue is in "Page Setup" of the application. Check under "Page Setup" and under "Layout" make sure that the LGL tray is selected and make sure that the doc is setup as a LGL size. Microsoft word settings will override the settings in the print driver and may need to be changed first before u can send a job to the right cassette. Hope this helps.

Re: Canon IR5020/6020i not always selecting 14" paper

      ChrisB,
Thank you for your input, most of the time they print from both Word and Adobe.
And I think they are having the problem from both.
When they finish the case they will have time for me to get all the dirty details. Right now
they just are in the middle of a case and prefer I not interrupt them, so they are making
the 2 or 3 extra key strokes to get the job done.
They want everything on "auto do it for me".
This from an account that did not want a network machine. 6 months after they got the 5020
the senior partner said "Lets get another one just like the 5020". All I could get was a 6020i.
But my plan worked as far as getting more volume on the svc agreement.
They had two Kodak analogs that copied at 85ppm. They've had Kodaks for years.
The 5020 is having a problem with the Doc Rec. The scan lamp does not come on to
      see the paper.
Like I said when they finish the case I will check all the information from this post against
both machines. I did however change the APS/ADS to just one tray, tray 1 for the printer.

Meanwhile I am getting my butt kicked on a Toshiba ES855. I will start another thread
      to cry about this machine.

      Thanks
