    Konica Minolta Magicolor 7450

    Hello all,

When I print from my mac (Snow Leopard) to my Konica Minolta Magicolor 7450 it takes around 20ms to print 10 posters 11x17 from preview or any other software. It seems that it process each print and takes around 2 mins for each.

The mac and printer is connected thru a ethernet cable. No network, just straight cable.

Can anybody help? Is there a better way to connect the printer so it rips the jobs faster?

    thanks

make sure collate is turned off.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

The collate would be a check box in the print driver-when collating, it may be re-sending the print job multiple times. You may also want to check (uncheck?) any spool settings, as this will slow down a print job as well.

This is why I get paid the big bux!!! hahahah (errr or not)
Glad you got it sorted. On an XP box with a Fiery that collate box causes ALL KINDS of weird probs. Always have it off.
